Research says that the relationship with your therapist could be the most important factor in reaching your goals. My primary aim is to build a strong relationship by earning trust and creating a thoughtful, safe, and considerate space to work together. I believe in providing clients the tools to help reach the goals they strive for - personally or professionally. While the disorders I have helped treat may vary, the ideal treatment is suited to the client, not the condition. Together, we will strive forward to realize the goals you want to reach.
Psychotherapy is not a process in which the therapist tells a client what to do. In fact, the therapeutic process is similar to completing a puzzle. My belief is that clients provide the pieces that composes their lives; my goal is to help put the puzzle together.
I believe in psychoanalytic therapy and attachment theory, the idea that the past shapes us and more specifically our experience as a child helped mold our personality today. Overall however, I believe in an eclectic approach to treatment where the needs of the client dictate the therapeutic process.
